Brotéria was born in 1902 as a monthly publication of the Society of Jesus, but nowadays it isn’t just a magazine. Brotéria is now a multidisciplinary project that includes a gallery with temporary exhibitions, a permanent collection of contemporary artworks, a library and a bookstore, offering to its 50 000 annual visitants a cultural programming with courses, seminars, guided tours and many others. Through this, Brotéria provides a calm and rigorous reflection of the world, contributing to an open discussion of the main contemporary topics in fields such as art, literature, politics, history, philosophy and religion.
